Well it's almost the 28th and it's time for my SFS update.

Not bad huh? ^_^ I'm trying to stay at or under budget each month so if I have to buy something over budget I have a cushion.

The thread was for a TW project that I am going to start once I'm done with Emma's announcement.  I had a few paper bobbins left but the plastic ones are going to last longer so I'm slowly replacing them as needed.

So far I have about 6,438 stitches, but this might be off since I didn't always keep track when I was tired.  The back-stitch for the 2nd cart took only one day which was nice since the back-stitch for the first cart (including the smoke) took 2 days.

Moving along slightly faster than I felt I was.  So, I changed some of the top part of the cart.  The dark blue/light blue pattern was changed at the top as I didn't like how it only had 1 light blue in the middle and the heart I added the bottom 2 red stitches, although now I'm thinking I should have kept it as purple.  It's hard to see that it's supposed to be a heart. -__-  What do you guys think??

Adventures in the Kitchen and other Fun Surprises!

Okay so today's little blog is actually NOT all about stitching, or really even my current WIP as I'm sure you can tell by the title. Let me start this out by explaining a few things.  About a month or so ago Thomas and I went to Kenny's apartment for dinner.  Kenny is one of Thomas's old West Point roommates, a good friend, and one of his classmates at this Captain's Career Course. He lives in the same apartment complex as we do, just a few buildings over.  We periodically switch around who hosts dinner, usually on the weekends, since Kenny lives by himself but still likes to cook and it's frustrating to cook for only one person. I like to cook as well and we both like to cook for other people so....thus the current arrangement. Well Kenny made homemade pasta that night for dinner and it was AMAZING! Seriously, like WAAAAY better than store bought pasta. He showed me his wonderful metal pasta machine that he had picked up at Ross (or some place like that) y

July 4th weekend...

First off let me say that I got practically no stitching done over the holiday weekend and I'm okay with that. ^_^ 7-4 work - Red bow and start of blue present Got to spend Friday and Sat with the in-laws and Sunday with my family.  Jason and Sarah brought Emma for the family get together so I was supper excited to finally get to see and hold her.  She was sleeping when they arrived and I got to hold her. She's a cuddle bug! She was completely content to sleep on my chest all curled up. Emma snuggles Not the best picture quality because I was taking the selfie with my phone.  Which is another thing Thomas and I did over the break, get new phones! We both got the Samsung Galaxy s5, his is black and mine is white, and actually the camera takes much better pictures it was just hard for me to do with one hand. lol Isn't she adorable?  I know, I'm slightly biased.  I was also asked to be her Godmother!!
